The horror stories are endless…
“This is the absolute worst company I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I have 3 autoimmune diseases and need yearly MRIs of my lungs. The doctor ordered the test and Molina denied the service. They denied an EMG. They denied me seeing a pulmonologist. They denied me seeing a rheumatologist. What is the point of paying for this insurance when I can’t get the care needed?”
“The WORST ever. CPAP machine recall for cancer — they refuse a replacement. Meds for Asthma — those are not a medical necessity. This is the worst company we ever dealt with.”
“Avoid them at all costs! Their website shows a bunch of providers which don’t actually accept the insurance. I think this is a scam so that they can be part of the Government Marketplace. It works fine as long as you don’t get sick. I recently had to go to an urgent care facility which they list on their website as in-network and now they claim that the facility is not and declined payment. SCAMMERS.”
“This is the worst health insurance company I have come across. They can’t even process the most basic claims. I and the provider had to file grievances for the most basic and routine preventive services and screening… Despite paying more than $1,000 every month, I felt uninsured with Molina.”
“I’m living in hell. I’d give them 0 stars if I could. I see a psychiatrist to manage antidepressants, and when I switched to Molina, I tried to use the “find a doctor” feature to switch to an in-network provider. I found tons listed on the site, but when I phoned to make appointments, receptionist after receptionist — I have called dozens — told me they haven’t taken Molina insurance for YEARS.”
The Harris County Medical Society, which represents over 11,500 physicians in the Houston area, issues a public condemnation of Molina Healthcare yearly for the failure of the insurance giant to reimburse doctors properly for the medical services they provide.
